THE PLOT SO FAR

Feel free to comment to this post with a summary of any time of the game you feel is relevant! The more help, the more we can get a more thorough summary. |
DAYS 1 - 30 | |
In the beginning, when there were only six teams and the dungeons were blocked off, Epona took an ill-advised trip down to explore them. Down there, they found several empty cages, some remains of monsters, and some books, ending up releasing a bunch of gryphons and taking the book away. The baby gryphon from below attacked and was subsequently tamed via a rear choke hold, and became Takshaka’s sort-of pet. But bringing the book back up led to a problem of a new sort- a vision appeared to all, showing the end of Queen’s world at the hands of Reapers. A few days later, the setting suddenly expanded, becoming huge, and most interestingly, populated. However, such things didn’t last- everything began to glitch out, causing immense problems, until the Queen was found. She soon explained: She was hoping to restore some of her own world, so there would be others to help shoulder the burden of supporting everything and handling the energy required, so as to better assist teams. Obviously, this kind of backfired, but things were quiet for some time afterwards. |

DAYS 61 - 90 | |
Some time later, a strange parasitical splinter appeared in a select few mirrors. A strange glass not-quite-shard, and it spread through the mirrors of those affected. Unable to be removed, it forced those who were infected to distrust and dislike the Queen, Princess, and the Cats. Eventually, things came to a head, and Queen ran the first heart games, to remove the infections from inside the mirror. When the infection was removed, though, an unexpected threat emerged: A gryphon (The one freed before by Epona in the dungeons, the mother of the one that was tamed) swooped in to grab the splinters and flew off again, taking them to the cove. Unfortunately, those splinters infected it, changing it into a glass statue that fell apart from the damage. At the same time, a member of the fighting party found a strange disk. The gryphon led them to a strange home in the caves before it fell apart, with a letter from a man calling himself Ulrich, warning everyone to not to trust the Queen. Naturally, he wasn’t very convincing. |
DAYS 91 - 120 | |
Some time later, the patrons began to all feel an intense energy drain. The cause of this was never discovered, and the teams scrambled to do huge quests to keep their patrons alive. The event didn’t last too long, though, and one OOC week later, it ended with a bang. During a quieter time, one character heard a strange voice from nowhere, saying strange, difficult-to-understand things. Then later still, Yaksinis and Nyssa ran a game about dying horribly, checking for organs, and failing at doors. In response to the horror, trauma, and memes, Queen took action to ban trauma games. Such a drain nearly killed her on the spot, and the quest to fix this was... new clothes. For everyone. Fashion is truly the greatest power in the universe. Things were quiet after that, until suddenly, a member of Dawon was made to switch teams. No one quite knows how, but she fainted near the cove to start it... Following up on this, several people began to investigate in their own ways. (CW: Gore, animal experimentation.) Blade looked down at the cove, and found the cliff face had a powerful avalanche, causing the bottom of the lake to crack and creating a passage below its surface. Swimming through, he reached an interior stone building below the lake. Following decaying but magical torches, he found four rooms. The first contained a collection of carefully-sorted human bones of all ages, including ribs showing signs of deliberate breakage and a trepanned skull. The second contained a metal table with shackles, and walls lined in white ink magic in a script recognizable as the same in the castle library. The shackles were disintegrated, but the table proved immune to violence. The third room contained caged animal experiments, including a bear’s head grafted onto a wolf’s body, violent and grotesquely overmuscled griffons, warped rennyas and maimed jackalopes. They were all killed. The fourth room contained a giant snake eating dead rats, and a slab of pork. The snake was killed. (CW over) There was also large doors leading to an unknown fifth room, but by this point, the exit was almost blocked off by falling sand and stone, so Blade was forced to make his escape without seeing it. The passageway was sealed behind him, as well, blocking it off once more. Meanwhile, a team consisting of Technic, Hydra, Rook, Belt, Eveningstar, and Lace explored the caves, and found their way straight to Ulrich. He was amenable enough, but some of his words contradicted what he had said before, oddly. At the end, he became aware of something and simply kicked everyone out into the pool. |
