ACTIVITY RULES

Being a team-based game with a moving timeline, an active playerbase is what makes Kyriakos thrive. Games are run, events happen, teams are ever moving and changing, and the game has an overall general cap where team slots are concerned, so we want to make sure players have a sense of presence in the game. Our activity check takes place on the kyriakos_ooc community once a month on the 1st of the month, ending on the 7th of the month. All activity links must be within the prior month (for example, May's AC goes up on June 1st - June 7th, all activity submitted in this window must be from May). We use the * activity check tag for easy following. If you were accepted during the previous month, you do not have to link activity! However, we still require you to at least comment to AC. TEAM ACTIVITY: 40 comments per character from at least two threads. one on-team and one off-team. Tagging with your team's patron counts for on-team activity. And tagging with other patrons and Echoes count toward off-team AC. We would like to see players making an attempt to tag their teammates. If we notice you aren't tagging your own team at all, we may contact you to see if there are any issues at hand. Staying up to date or at least making an attempt to tag your teammates is an important mechanic of the game! CAT ACTIVITY: 40 comments per Cat within the last month's time of when you send your app, with no team requirements. Tagging with patrons and Echoes count toward AC. We would like to see the Cats making an attempt to tag out to other people, and while not mandatory, would like to see them trying to tag their own teammates. ECHO ACTIVITY: Echoes do not have a comment expectation, we simply ask Echo players to comment to the activity post to let us know they're still around. PATRON ECHO ACTIVITY: Patron Echoes require 20 comments, or a game, with no team requirements. Tagging with patrons and Echoes count toward AC. However, in order to encourage patron/team interaction, we would prefer on-team threads be submitted, though it's by no means mandatory. If several consecutive months go by with no on-team interaction, the mods may ask to see more on-team activity from that player.

HIATUSES

If you need to call a hiatus, we have reduced activity depending on the length of said hiatus. A hiatus lasting at least two weeks will apply for reduced AC of half the comments required; meaning team characters will only require 20, and echo Patrons 10. A hiatus lasting up to a month will apply for a complete waive of AC, however we'd still like like you to comment to the monthly AC post when it goes up on the 1st of the month. Reduced activity for hiatuses will not count for this if you do not comment to the hiatus page or at least e-mail the mods about it. We ask that you discuss longer hiatuses directly with the mods, as we handle those on a case-by-case basis. Also keep in mind that continuous hiatuses are not suggested and will result in strikes if taken advantage of. If there are any circumstances that either may come up or have come up where hiatuses are concerned, please contact the mods and we'll always be willing to work with you!

INACTIVITY, IDLING & STRIKES

Failing activity will result in a strike. Receiving two strikes in a three month period, regardless of whether or not they're consecutive, will result in your character being idled. If your character idles, you will be unable to reapply for the character that you idled with for two months. Activity strikes will clear after two months of meeting regular activity requirements, so getting a strike is nothing to worry about so long as you're active otherwise! Failure to respond to the activity check constantly will result in a strike. Missing it once is fine, and the mods will contact players that have not commented asking them for activity, but if we see a pattern of missing AC and it happens too much, we will issue one. If an extenuating circumstance happens, please email the modbox! If something is preventing you from making activity or responding to the AC post, or if anything unexpected happens, please let us know. We don't need to know the details, but we are willing to work with you to make activity as stress free as possible for you. However, we cannot help you if you don't e-mail us! Missing activity check and not responding to any following e-mails will result in your character being idled. If we notice you're always making the bare minimum and scarping by AC each month, or receive concerns about your lack of presence in the game by castmates or teammates, we may contact you to see what's going on. Any potential strikes or warnings will be given on a case-by-cases basis. Please remember that playing with your teammates and staying in contact with them both ICly and OOCly is one of the most important parts of being in the game, and planning things can be difficult if fellow teammates are hardly around!
