HIATUSES

Please look over our activity guidelines regarding how your activity changes depending on how long your hiatus is. There are options available for taking a hiatus if you get busy or need to take a short break: Echo & patron hiatus: Sometimes Echoes need a little extra help in their realms, and will occasionally call to a character to help them. Your character essentially disappears into their realm for a while as they do what they were asked to. Some Echoes ask nicely, while some just snatch and keep your character there until they're done. Please see the Echo list page for more information and how to contact an Echo player to use this hiatus method. Wandering off: If you're taking a relatively short hiatus, or even need an excuse as to why your character wasn't around for a couple of days without having called one, the realm is pretty huge and those forests are dense. It's easy to have gotten turned around somewhere in there. If you need to take a hiatus longer than a month, you must e-mail the mods about it to discuss whether a temporary drop might be the better option, and decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis depending on the circumstances. DROPPING

If you need to drop out of Kyriakos for whatever reason, be it permanently or for a time, there are options available the method of dropping: Mirrors: Beneath the clocktower in the center of the realm is a room full of mirrors. Inside sleep characters who have been dropped from the game - ICly, said characters have simply lost the energy needed to exist in Kyriakos as a shattered soul and thus are forced into sleep to retain their existence with what little power remains, as well as regenerate enough to eventually awaken again and return. This is the most common method of dropping, as reapping will simply have them reawaken again. Echo and patron drop: Characters who get too weak to stay in Kyriakos can also stay with an Echo or patron, in their realm! They'll do tasks and chores to keep busy and try to regain enough power to return to Kyriakos. Good ending: If you've completed your registry or enough of your registry to apply and feel done with your character's arc in Kyriakos, you can good end them - complete their mirror and send them home. REAPPING

Reapplying to Kyriakos is fairly easy! When reapplying, you have the option to reapp them onto the team they were originally on, in which case they will retain all of their regained memories and memories of their first time in Kyriakos. You also have the option to reapp them onto a new team, however upon doing this, they would wake up with no memories again, though be allowed to regain their Kyriakos memories via shards like their normal memories. Just e-mail the mods at kyriakosmods@gmail.com with the subject REAPP - Character Name (1st/2nd/3rd) with the following, keeping in mind that reapplying for a third character still requires 70 comments per existing character: Player Name: Character Name: Character's Canon: Character's Journal: Team: Drop Method: How has their time in Kyriakos changed them?: Only applicable if being reapped to the same team they were first on.
