IS THERE DAY/NIGHT IN KYRIAKOS? Or I guess more specifically is there a sun?? Since lolol vampire, and not the Twilight kind. :')

There is no sun, but there is day/night! There's a roughly 24-hour period where it gets lighter and darker, but there is no visible source of this light.

Question!! What IC excuses do we have for when we miss games? :O

Many! You could have gotten lost in the castle, perhaps, or just did not feel like attending, or fallen asleep and missed the bell, or been waylaid by a stray Echo, or had your path blocked off by a truly vicious territorial battle between Zubats and jackalopes. Any real reason you can think of to not bother attending, as attendance is not actually mandatory.

Question! There are understandable limitations on healing and I've read it up, but what about characters whose powers specialize in healing rather than combat? Will they be able to keep their spells? Will an additional cost to the user be implemented? Or maybe they would be among the last abilities recovered...? It's nothing extreme as allowing people to regrow limbs, it's more on the standard closing wounds and making bruises disappear or reviving them from unconsciousness.

They can keep their spells, subject to the same powercap as everyone else! In RPG terms, level 30 out of 100. Closing wounds and healing bruises or reviving from KO shouldn't be a problem as long as you keep character stamina in mind!

Is Kyr planned to be a plotty game - or I guess my question is more like, will there be accessible casual ways to interact with all the window dressing of "your goal is to rebuild your world" outside of the team-and-game structure or big plot events? Whether through NPC questing/interaction, or trying to explore the unknown blankness past the castle, or whatever!

Yes, it is! We've actually already had an event related to things that characters have done. Epona went down into the dungeons and got plot because they explored a thing. There are a lot of accessible casual ways to get the plot, they just ... haven't been explored by the characters yet! But we'd like to bring about plot because of things that characters have done and let them control the plot of Kyriakos by things that they do. Or, well, maybe control isn't necessarily the best term, but they can be the trigger for plot events and can even take part in the actual plot once it's been triggered.

DUMB QUESTION TIME

if a character has a prosthetic limb and they come to this world, will they be without said limb or will they have a fleshy one

They would have the prosthetic! ... Unless you want to have them regain missing that limb as a skill and start them with a fleshy body. . .

But that's up to you!

What if the prosthetic was magical it would start off as non-magical then correct?

Yes! It wouldn't have all of the magical abilities, those would have to be regained as skills, but it could still be there as a non-magical prosthetic.

Is there a powercap policy?

And I know there are OCs and previous game characters, what is the whole policy on that?

"The powercap is fairly simple for this game! Everyone is capped at level 30 out of 100, because their souls are shattered and they don't have all of their powers anyway. They can cast and beat things up as much as they want as long as things remain reasonable. No world-ending, endgame abilities! The level 30 of 100 cap should hopefully allow for characters to access their midtier spells without things going overboard. Theoretically, it is possible for a character to exceed the powercap and do things at their max level, though. However, this takes a lot of effort and strain, and it runs a severe risk of breaking your soul back apart to how the character was at the beginning. If your character intends on trying to do this, please ping the mods!

There may be times where we lift the powercap for plot reasons, but our aim is going to be keeping things as equal as possible for every character in the game.

As a note, the powercap does not effect people that are normally below the powercap."

Quoted from the mechanics page, since this is now added! Sorry about that; we were all really confused when you mentioned that you couldn't find it, and then we couldn't find it. It's added now!

As for previous game characters and OCs, the only thing we don't allow are fandom OCs. The apps are all judged the same for the most part.

Regarding appable characters, does that mean AUs of characters are allowed even when they're not Previous Games?

Yes! AUs are allowed as long as there are enough memories and skills to make a decently sized registry, although AUs will be judged in a way so that we don't end up with an AU of a character that looks nothing like the original character in any way.

If a character is from a single canon entry that involves multiple timelines/endings, do you have to pick one set of events to be "canon" for them to remember or would they be a composite of their possible selves and get memories from all endings?

You have to pick a single set of events for their canon! It is possible that later memories from other routes could be brought in and added to their registry in the future, but for now you need a single route to app from.
