Question about age/age-ups - what if, through time/space shenanigans, someone had ended up in another world, grown up in that world, then went back home and were the same age as when they'd left? Would they still be able to get a full age-up to the oldest age they'd lived as a skill?

Hello! Thank you for your question. It would be possible for the character to regain a shard that ages them up to the oldest age they’ve reached, even if they’ve gone back to their original age in canon.
